It is not hypochlorite and does not chlorinate to product toxic byproducts such as the THMs generated by chlorine products. Oxine AH is effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms. USDA studies suggest chlorine dioxide may be up to 7 times more effective than chlorine bleach.
