The proprietary formula addresses anhidrosis, the inability or reduced capacity to sweat, via the sympathetic nervous system and the pituitary and thyroid glands. Horses with sweating challenges cannot regulate their body temperature normally and are at higher risk of overheating. MetaSweat may also be beneficial for horses who exhibit insulin resistance, as the same mechanism that impacts anhidrosis also increases sensitivity to the insulin that is naturally produced in the pancreas.
